Costs and what's included

We do not charge anything to volunteer or intern. The costs shown below are estimates for what it costs us to host our volunteers/interns.  Unfortunately, we do not have funding to cover housing and the staff ourselves, so we ask our volunteers/interns to make a minimal contribution.

The volunteering experience with us includes:

  • Pre-arrival support
  • Accommodation at the Aquicuana Reserve
  • Food (included in the Aquicuana Reserve and Homestay option)
  • Volunteer or internship placement
  • Internet access
  • Orientation
  • Pick-up from Riberalta airport
  • Cleaning services
  • Drinkable water
  • 24-hour staff support
  • Research supervision by a local researcher (additional cost of 100$ a month)

In addition, we ask a minimum time commitment of 1 month and require selected candidates to pay in advance for that first month to book a space in any of our programs.

Accommodation at the Aquicuana Reserve is applicable for all of our volunteer programs. However, accommodation at our Communal Home and Homestay is available for volunteers/interns interested in our NGO support program and Art Residents.
